El Centro, California - Monday, the El Centro Police Department received several phone calls of a male subject at the IV Mall causing a disturbance. The subject was making threats toward customers and employees that he was going to “shoot up” the Mall. A reporting party said the subject had something in his hands but they were not sure what it was.  Officers responded to the area of the IV Mall and began searching for the subject based on descriptions provided by witnesses.

Imperial, California - A chain of West Coast restaurants has announced that it will pay a lucky aficionado of crispy bacon $1,000 for a day of non-stop taste-testing, reports the Association of Mature American Citizens. 

Calexico, California - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Calexico ports of entry over the weekend intercepted $335,000 worth of methamphetamine and heroin hidden in two vehicles.

El Centro, California - On ASunday, just prior to 4 AM, Officers responded to the area of Hamilton and Railroad in the City of El Centro in reference to a possible shooting victim who was said to have been in the area just prior to the call. The victim was located in the area of the railroad in an empty lot. He was deceased at the time the officers located him.

Salton City, California - El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents working at the Highway 86 immigration checkpoint arrested a man suspected of smuggling methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine last week.

El Centro, California - The Imperial County Sheriffs Office is requesting any information regarding David Garcia-Tovar of Brawley.
