Imperial, California - A chain of West Coast restaurants has announced that it will pay a lucky aficionado of crispy bacon $1,000 for a day of non-stop taste-testing, reports the Association of Mature American Citizens. 

The Farmer Boys chain posted a notice on its Web site describing how to enter the competition for the “bacon intern” position before August 20 and notes that the winner will be announced on August 27.
