El Centro, California - On Sunday, July 28, 3:15 AM, El Centro Police Department Police Officers were dispatched to an alarm activation at a business located on the 600 block of Wake Avenue. Officers arrived on scene within a minute of the call being dispatched and found the front window had been smashed out. Evidence at the scene indicated something heavy had been dragged from the store. Officers suspected an ATM was taken. The business owner confirmed that someone had broken into his store and confirmed to officers that an ATM machine was taken.

El Centro, California - "We get a number of calls, daily as a matter of fact, regarding issues and concerns involving people from the local “homeless” population. The calls range in severity from simple concern and illegal camping to aggressive panhandling, drug use, theft, and even acts of violence. This is evidenced a handful of recent unprovoked attacks on members of the community and is tremendous cause for concern.

El Centro, California - Friday, at approximately 1:50 AM, Officers from the El Centro Police Department were dispatched to 2499 N. Cottonwood Cir; (Jack In The Box) in reference to an armed robbery in progress. The suspect was last seen leaving in the direction of Chase Bank on foot. The suspect left the location with cash which he had demanded from the employees place in paper bags while wielding a knife in the process.

El Centro, California - On June 12, 2019, El Centro Police Department Officers working a Stonegarden operation attempted to make contact with two subjects in the area of 700 El Centro Avenue. One subject fled the area as an Officer pursued him through the north alley of 700 El Centro. Other ECPD units deployed to the area and later took the suspect into custody at a residence on the 700 block of El Centro.
