Sacramento, California - As announced by Governor Gavin Newsom last month, all Californians aged 16 and older are eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations starting today, April 15. This expansion of eligibility comes as the state reaches major milestones in its vaccine rollout: nearly half of all residents in the 16 and older population have already received at least one dose, including 73.9 percent of seniors aged 65 and older.

Washington, DC - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the launch of the CBP Applicant Portal on April 5, to provide an interactive and centralized resource for applicants to receive tailored information on their application status. The portal also provides more visibility into the hiring process.  Applicants may use the portal to view the real-time status of their application, review a large repository of Frequently Asked Questions, and contact the CBP Hiring Center with specific inquiries.

Chula Vista, California - Last Thursday morning, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested the leader of a human smuggling organization.  The 43-year-old male Mexican national had become a top target for San Diego Sector (SDC) after several investigations indicated he orchestrated smuggling events throughout San Diego County.
