Washington, DC - The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a public health alert to notify the public of a recall conducted by Maxi Canada, Inc., a Québec, Canada, establishment, involving approximately 103,752 pounds of chicken product that may be contaminated with metal pieces. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) notified FSIS of the recall, which affected products exported to the United States.
