Houston, Texas - Ashley Nicole Richards 24, of Houston, Texas, has been convicted of creating and distributing videos depicting the torture and killing of puppies, chickens and kittens, announced U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson for the Southern District of Texas. Richards entered a guilty plea today, admitting she produced and distributed what is referred to as “animal crush videos.”

Detroit, Michigan - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrested 79 in an enforcement action targeting criminal aliens and individuals who pose a threat to public safety last week. ICE officers made the arrests in the two-state region overseen by the Detroit office, which covers Michigan and Ohio.

Washington, DC - The U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice signed an antitrust memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) today to promote increased cooperation and communication among the competition agencies in both countries. The MOU was signed in Washington, D.C. by Chairwoman Edith Ramirez of the FTC, Assistant Attorney General Bill Baer of the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division, and Chairman Jeong Jae-chan of the KFTC, and went into effect upon signature.
