Imperial, California - Members of the Imperial County Building and Construction Trades will assemble to continue work on a public restroom project in Brawley, CA. Work on the project on Meserve Park began the first week of March and has been steadily progressing. Multiple trades have participated so far including; IBEW 569 (electricians), Iron Workers Local 229, Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 200, Bricklayers Allied Crafts Local 4.
The foundation is in place and the brick walls are now going up. Tomorrow The Bricklayers union will be here along with several Apprentices to build the walls, most traveling from the Los Angeles area. Several city officials will be on site to provide meals to all of the Volunteers who will break for lunch at 11:30. Brawley City Mayor Donnie Warton will be on site to thank the Volunteers.
