Mecca, California - Coming off the historical ground-breaking at the Red Hill Marina Bay Project earlier this month, Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) will be joined by Speaker-designate Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) tomorrow as they’ll be having a roundtable discussion on the latest Salton Sea restoration efforts taking place in the region.
Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) serves as the as the Chairperson of the Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economic Development and the Economy and was the author of AB 1095 which requires the Natural Resources Agency to report to the State legislature by March 2016 a list of shovel-ready projects for the Salton Sea. Garcia also serves as the Chair for the Assembly Select Committee on Renewable Energy Development and Restoration of the Salton Sea.
Assemblymember Anthony Rendon is chair of the Assembly Committee on Utilities and Commerce and is also a member of the Assembly Select Committee on Renewable Energy Development and Restoration of the Salton Sea. Rendon is serving in his second term representing the 63rd Assembly District, which includes the cities and communities of Bell, Cudahy, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, North Long Beach, Lynwood, Maywood, Paramount, and South Gate.
