El Centro, California - On Tuesday, the Imperial County Board of Supervisors announced the appointment of Public Health Director Robin Hodgkin as the Interim County Executive Officer (CEO) following the recent retirement announcement of Ralph Cordova, Jr. Mrs. Hodgkin will serve as Interim CEO effective immediately. The Imperial County Board of Supervisors appointed Danila Vargas to serve as Interim Public Health Director while Mrs. Hodgkin is to lead the county.

Calexico, California - With the nation’s blood supply facing significantly low levels, Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District, an Affiliate of the Scripps Health Network would like to bring to light the recent CALEXICO UNIDOS BLOOD DRIVE efforts that are scheduled for August 17th at the Calexico Community Center. The event will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., following the Board of Supervisors meeting, in the conference room adjacent to the Imperial County Board of Supervisors Chambers in El Centro.
