Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments:
Yvette Roland, 67, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the State Bar Court. Roland was a partner at Duane Morris LLP from 2006 to 2014 and at Hancock, Rothert and Bunshoft LLP from 1990 to 2006. She is a member of the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, Inc., California Association of Black Lawyers, Southern California Education Fund, National Association of Women Judges and ONE LA. Roland earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $182,683. Roland is a Democrat.
Jane Conover, 66, of Modesto, has been reappointed to the 38th District Agricultural Association, Stanislaus County Fair Board of Directors, where she has served since 2002. Conover has been an investor and partner at Mape’s Ranch since 1995. She was a real estate agent at Conover Real Estate from 1992 to 1996. Conover is a member of the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Conover is a Democrat.
Angelica Anguiano-Franco, 32, of Waterford, has been reappointed to the 38th District Agricultural Association, Stanislaus County Fair Board of Directors, where she has served since 2015. Anguiano-Franco has been an attorney at the Law Offices of Mark S. Nelson since 2013, where she was a legal assistant from 2010 to 2013. She was a legal assistant at the Law Office of Aaron Anguiano from 2005 to 2010. Anguiano-Franco is a member of the Haven Women’s Center of Stanislaus County Board of Directors and the Latino Community Roundtable. She earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Humphreys University Drivon School of Law. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Anguiano-Franco is a Democrat.
