Washington, DC - Representatives from across the U.S. Government with expertise on a range of cyber issues traveled to Mexico City, Mexico May 12-13, 2016 to meet with partners from the Mexican government, academia, and the private sector. Christopher Painter, Coordinator for Cyber Issues, U.S. Department of State, led the U.S. government delegation that included representatives from the Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of Defense, and the National Security Council.
The United States recognizes the importance of building strong regional partnerships with key stakeholders working on the range of cyber issues and views engagements like this as critical to achieving our goal of promoting an open, interoperable, reliable, and secure Internet that benefits all users.
