Washington, DC - U.S. Special Envoy for Climate Change Todd Stern will travel February 16 – 19 to Brussels, London and Paris, where he will meet with European officials to discuss climate change.
This trip is one of several long-planned post-COP21 visits, aiming to reinforce the U.S. commitment to the Paris Agreement and to taking action on climate change. Stern and his counterparts will discuss major international climate change objectives for this year, including the April 22nd signing ceremony for the Paris Agreement that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will host in New York.
