Washington, DC - Secretary Kerry spoke this morning via phone with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi regarding the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s nuclear test.
They discussed the highly provocative nature of North Korea’s actions, and its grave threat to international peace and security and blatant violation of multiple U.N. Security Council resolutions. The Secretary and Foreign Minister Wang agreed that the United States and China would continue to coordinate closely in the U.N. Security Council and with partners within the Six-Party Talks framework to take appropriate action.
