Washington, DC - On July 9, Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland will meet with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Karasin in Zurich, Switzerland to discuss the implementation by all parties of the Minsk Agreements.
She will then travel to Dubrovnik, Croatia, to attend the 10th annual Croatia Forum, where she will deliver remarks on the western Balkans and Transatlantic relations. Assistant Secretary Nuland will also meet with senior Croatian government officials, as well as European leaders attending the conference, on a range of regional and energy security issues.
Assistant Secretary Nuland will travel on July 11 to Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she will join the Presidential delegation to mark the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide. While in Bosnia and Herzegovina, she and the delegation will also meet with senior government officials and political leaders to discuss bilateral and regional issues.
During July 11–14, the Assistant Secretary will travel with an interagency team to Podgorica, Montenegro; Pristina, Kosovo; Skopje, Macedonia; Tirana, Albania; and Belgrade, Serbia, where they will meet with the respective senior government officials, political leaders, and members of civil society to discuss bilateral and regional issues, including Euro-Atlantic and regional integration. In Kosovo and Serbia, in particular, she will discuss the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue and progress on implementation of the April 19, 2013 Brussels Agreement on normalization of relations.
On July 15-16, in Kyiv, Ukraine, Assistant Secretary Nuland will meet with senior Ukrainian government officials, political and business leaders and civil society representatives to discuss a range of bilateral and regional issues.
