Washington, DC - Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Carl Risch will travel June 3-9 to Russia, Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in a series of meetings with U.S. diplomats and foreign government authorities.

While on this trip, Assistant Secretary Risch will engage in bilateral discussions with counterparts on issues relevant to consular protection and U.S. visas. He will also open a new Consular Section in Moscow.

The United States is committed to long-term engagement with Russia, Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic on a variety of consular issues.
