San Diego, California - The San Diego Chargers will play their first home game of the 2016 season when they host the Arizona Cardinals in Preseason Week 2 at Qualcomm Stadium on Friday, August 19 at 6 p.m. PT.
The Chargers and Cardinals had similar outcomes in Week 1 of the preseason. The Chargers fell in Tennessee, 27-10, while Arizona dropped their opener at home against Oakland, 31-10.
This marks the 22nd time the Chargers and Cardinals have met in the preseason. San Diego holds a 12-9 series edge. The Bolts have won seven straight dating back to 2004, with wins coming in 2004, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013-15.
JOINT PRACTICES
The Chargers and Cardinals will hold two joint practices in San Diego before facing off at Qualcomm Stadium on Friday night. Tuesday night, the teams will practice in front of fans at Qualcomm Stadium from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, the teams will work at Chargers Park from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday’s practice is closed to the public.
