Washington, DC - Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Sarah Sewall travels to California and Colorado from February 25-29, 2016.
On February 25, the Under Secretary will deliver a lecture on Countering Violent Extremism at Stanford’s Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. The following day, Under Secretary Sewall will hold a seminar on the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence in conflict with the Human Rights Program at the University of California, Berkeley.
On February 29, she will deliver further remarks on Countering Violent Extremism and receive the Josef Korbel School’s “Engaged Policy Maker” award at the University of Denver.
