Washington, DC - From October 26-30, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller will visit Denver, Colorado Springs, Palo Alto, Salt Lake City and Provo.
On October 26, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will travel to Denver to speak with students at the University of Denver Josef Korbel School of International Studies about U.S. nuclear policy and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). She will also speak with the Denver World Affairs Council on the challenges and opportunities in the U.S.-Russian relationship.
On October 27, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will travel to Colorado Springs to meet with Admiral William Gortney, Commander of United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) to discuss ballistic missile defense and strategic stability issues. The Under Secretary will also meet with students and professors at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
On October 28, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will visit Palo Alto to meet with business leaders and to deliver remarks on technology’s connection to arms control and international security at an event hosted by Technology for Global Security.
On October 29, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will meet with civic and community leaders in Salt Lake City, Utah to discuss the CTBT.
On October 30, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will deliver remarks at the 26th Annual Brigham Young University’s (BYU) Model United Nations Conference in Provo, Utah. She will also deliver remarks on CTBT at BYU.
