Washington, DC - The U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy will meet in an open session at the American Foreign Service Association at 2101 E Street, NW in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, May 5 from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
The Commission Members will discuss “Current Issues in Public Diplomacy: Keeping American Spaces Open and Public Diplomacy Personnel Strong.” They will welcome State Department officials to speak about the strategy toward the more than 700 American spaces worldwide, in addition to Ambassador Laurence Wohlers, who is the principal investigator for the Commission’s upcoming report, Getting the People Part Right, done in partnership with the Meridian International Center. Ambassador Wohlers will discuss some early findings from the new report, which will be released in full in late June.
