The report provides HSR Premerger Notification data for fiscal year 2018. Under the HSR Premerger Notification Program, companies report some proposed mergers and acquisitions to the government before they occur, and the agencies identify and challenge those transactions that may substantially lessen competition in violation of federal law.

Washington, DC - A former president of Local 2463 of the American Federation of Government Employees pleaded guilty Thursday to Interstate Transportation of Stolen Property, in connection with his theft of tens of thousands of dollars from the union, announced Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division and District Director Mark Wheeler of the Department of Labor’s Office of Labor Management Standards Washington District Office.

Jackson, Mississippi - The Honorable Judge Keith Starrett, of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, sentenced defendant Louie Bernard Revette, 38, to serve 11 years on federal charges for his commission of a crossburning on Oct. 24, 2017, in Seminary, Mississippi. Revette previously pled guilty on April 12, to one count of interference with housing rights, a federal civil rights violation, and one count of using fire to commit a federal felony. Revette, along with a co-conspirator whom he recruited, built and burned a wooden cross near the home of a juvenile victim, M.H., who lived in a predominantly African-American residential area of Seminary.
