Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming - Commercial and non-commercially guided snowmobiles and all types of snowcoaches may now travel from the park’s East Entrance over Sylvan Pass to Fishing Bridge Juction.
Due to various road restrictions in place, travelers should consult the current road conditions map at http://www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/parkroads.htm.
Road status can change with little warning due to adverse weather conditions which could require temporary road closures to all oversnow travel.
Park staff continue to closely monitor oversnow road conditions and weather forecasts. Temporary restrictions will be removed once conditions improve.
The road from the park’s North Entrance at Gardiner, Mont., through Mammoth Hot Springs and on to Cooke City, Mont., outside the park’s Northeast Entrance, is open to automobile travel all year.
Extensive information and assistance for planning a visit to Yellowstone is available on the park web site at http://www.nps.gov/yell.
