Escondido, California - This weekend at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, the focus will be on children, as guests are invited to join in a festive celebration of Día del Niño (Day of the Child).
At Safari Base Camp, kids can immerse themselves in bubble play as stilt walkers entertain and Ballet Folklórico dancers twirl and glide. Colorful decorations and public art will provide a feast for visitors’ eyes, while mariachis and other musicians will fill the air with lively tunes. Guests can also experience incredible soccer acrobatics and selected bilingual animal shows, such as the Frequent Flyers bird show, Cheetah Run, and Africa Tram Safari.
This cultural celebration would not be complete without the chance to indulge in tasty festive foods, including street tacos, tortas, sangria, and more. The best part: Kids 11 years old and younger are free with paid adult admission— including free Carousel rides courtesy of Go San Diego® Card
Día del Niño festivities are scheduled for one weekend only: April 28 through 30. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
