Denver, Colorado - She was traveling home from Paris to Denver and the flight attendant gave her an apple but she was not hungry so she put it in her purse planning to eat it later. That’s where the wayfarer, Crystal Tadlock went wrong, according to the Association of Mature American Citizens.
Perhaps she looked suspicious because a customs agent stopped her, found the apple and fined her $500. The forbidden fruit was still neatly swaddled in its Delta Airlines wrapper, apparently proving that it was not home grown but an illegal import. Ms. Tadlock told a local TV reporter that the agent “asked me if my trip to France was expensive and I said, 'yeah.' I didn't really get why he was asking that question, and then he said 'It's about to get a lot more expensive after I charge you $500’."
