Washington, DC - Today Secretary Pompeo met with Mexican Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico City, Mexico. They emphasized the importance of continuing to work together through the completion of the Pena Nieto administration on December 1. They reaffirmed their commitment to disrupt transnational criminal organizations and reduce the flow of deadly opioids and other drugs into the United States.
They also discussed U.S.-Mexico collaboration with Central American nations to address the drivers of migration and the need to conclude a modernized, rebalanced North American Free Trade Agreement.
