Washington, DC - Congressman Juan Vargas, serving on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Subcommittees on the Middle East and North Africa, and on Terrorism, Nonproliferation and Trade, issued the following statement about the attack on a Jerusalem Synagogue leaving four people dead:
“I am both deeply saddened and outraged by the incident that occurred in a Jerusalem Synagogue today. Houses of worship of all faiths should be revered and free from the threat of terror and violence. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the four victims killed, three of whom were American citizens. Violent acts will not help us build peace in the region, nor will it shake our resolve to stand with our allies.”
