Washington, DC - Ten people want to move into your house. The reasons may be good such as there has been violence in their neighborhood or life in general has been bad where they currently live. These same people would also need for you to provide them with cash, food, education assistance, childcare and most likely half of the ten would need this assistance for the rest of their lives. You couldn't financially afford to do it. The United States is not doing it so well either.

Washington, DC - U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Valparaíso, Chile, on October 5 to attend the second Our Ocean conference, hosted by the government of Chile. He and Chilean Foreign Minister Heraldo Muñoz will also participate in a town hall meeting with students entitled, “Taking Action for Our Ocean.”

New York - Today, the United States deposited its instrument of ratification for the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism (Nuclear Terrorism Convention) at the United Nations in New York. The United States will be the 100th State Party to the Treaty and has now fulfilled a pledge made by President Obama at the 2010 Nuclear Security Summit.
