Brawley, California - The Pioneers Memorial Hospital (PMH) Foundation continues their spirit and will to give by donating $150,000 to the Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District for the use of their Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) equipment.
This is the second of the three installments that will be made by the local Hospital Foundation. The Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), allows doctors to see what lies below the surface of the gastrointestinal tract, thus enabling them to quickly diagnose and treat diseases.
This innovative technique provides Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District physicians the ability to more accurately diagnose tumors by being able to collect both high image resolution images as well as tissue samples in a minimally invasive way, ensuring the best possible treatment for patients.
