Sacramento, California - Governor Gavin Newsom yesterday announced the following appointments:
Chris Corgas, 30, of San Francisco, has been appointed to the 1a District Agricultural Association, Grand National Rodeo, Cow Palace Fair Board of Directors. Corgas has been a senior program manager working on the Community Benefit District Program with the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development since 2016. He was a project manager for the City and County of San Francisco from 2015 to 2016 and an operations manager and a regional teaching operations manager at ThinkTank Learning, Inc. from 2013 to 2015. Corgas was a Jesse M. Unruh Assembly fellow with the Capital Fellows Program from 2011 to 2012. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Corgas is a Democrat.
Leah Pimentel, 37, of San Francisco, has been appointed to the 1a District Agricultural Association, Grand National Rodeo, Cow Palace Fair Board of Directors. Pimentel has been an assistant director of community relations at the University of California, San Francisco since 2018. She was a chief customer officer at Credit Sesame from 2017 to 2018 and a global product manager at Skyroam from 2016 to 2017. Pimentel consulted for Pimentel Strategies from 2004 to 2017. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Pimentel is a Democrat.
Sam Nejabat, 28, of San Diego, has been appointed to the 22nd District Agricultural Association, San Diego County Fair Board of Directors. Nejabat has been president of SJN Properties since 2013. He was a summer legal associate for AT&T in 2018. Nejabat earned a Master of Arts degree in liberal studies from Dartmouth College. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Nejabat is a Democrat.
