El Centro, California - Thursday, February 18, 2016 the County of Imperial will host the 2016 State of the County in Ocotillo. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with Chairman Jack Terrazas providing the keynote speech at the Imperial Valley Desert Museum.
The annual event is an opportunity for Imperial County residents, partners and friends to learn about the County’s successes and accomplishments of 2015, the status of long-term projects and an outline of goals for 2016. This year’s keynote speaker is Chairman of the Board Jack Terrazas, who represents District 2 encompassing the communities of El Centro, Heber and Ocotillo.
In an effort to encourage attendance and decrease the amount of cars on the road, Imperial Valley Transit is providing round-trip transportation to the museum. Buses will leave the Imperial County Administration Center at 940 West Main Street in El Centro at 5:30 p.m. Space is limited so riders are on a first-come first-serve basis.
