Imperial, California - On Friday, a Sheriff Deputy was flagged down in the Salton Sea Beach area in reference to a just occurred stabbing. Victim and witnesses reported the suspect pulled out a knife and forced himself into their residence. The suspect attempted to stab a female however the male victim stepped in and stopped the suspect thus sustaining a wound to the abdomen.

The suspect, identified as Efrain Ramirez (age 31), fled on foot but was subsequently located, arrested and booked into the Imperial County Jail on two counts of attempted murder and other related charges.
