Westmorland, California - Tuesday, July 12, the Imperial County Department of Social Services (ICDSS) will host an open house of their Mobile Office unit during the Imperial County Board of Supervisors meeting in Westmorland. The Mobile Office will be available for viewing from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Westmorland Union Elementary School.
The open house is an opportunity to tour the new unit and learn about the services that will be provided by ICDSS staff to Imperial County residents in the county’s outlying areas. The Mobile Office will allow ICDSS staff to complete eligibility determinations, process changes to active cases, issue benefits, and receive documents for Medi-Cal and other Social Services programs remotely.
The Mobile Office will also be open the following day on July 13, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. next to the City Hall at 355 South Center Street in Westmorland. There will be an eligibility worker onsite to accept applications for public assistance (Medi-Cal, Cal Fresh, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), answer eligibility questions, and provide referrals to the public.
Residents of Westmorland and surrounding communities interested in receiving more information about the services provided at this mobile office are encouraged to attend.
