Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Carlos R. Gutierrez to a judgeship in the Solano County Superior Court.

Gutierrez, 58, of Dixon, has been an attorney in private practice at Bernheim, Gutierrez and McCready since 1994. He was a solo practitioner from 1985 to 1994. Gutierrez earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Sacramento. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Ramona J. Garrett. Gutierrez is a Democrat.

The compensation for this position is $189,041.
