Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments:

Isabel Barreras, 49, of Madera, has been reappointed to the 21a District Agricultural Association, Madera District Fair Board of Directors, where she has served since 2003. Barreras has been human resources specialist for the Madera Unified School District since 2014, where she was an administrative assistant from 2009 to 2014 and from 1995 to 2006. She was executive director at the Madera Hispanic Chamber of Commerce from 2010 to 2011 and an outreach consultant for Madera South High School from 2006 to 2009. She is a member of the Foundation for California Community Colleges. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Barreras is a Democrat.

Rosanne Bonilla, 57, of Madera, has been reappointed to the 21a District Agricultural Association, Madera District Fair Board of Directors, where she has served since 2012. Bonilla has been a broker at Nora and Associates Real Estate and Property Management since 2004. She is president of Latinas Unidas. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Bonilla is a Democrat.

Lois Leonard, 56, of Madera, has been appointed to the 21a District Agricultural Association, Madera District Fair Board of Directors, where she has served since 2006. Leonard has been business assistance office manager at the Madera County Economic Development Commission since 2002. She was a bookkeeper at Vineyard Growers Supply from 1997 to 2007, worship leader at the Harvest Community Church from 2000 to 2008, office manager at Conifer Paper from 1987 to 1991 and a customer service representative at Inland Container from 1982 to 1986. Leonard is a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization, Chapter VO. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Leonard is a Republican.

Patricia Manfredi, 65, of Madera, has been appointed to the 21a District Agricultural Association, Madera District Fair Board of Directors, where she has served since 2005. Manfredi was executive director at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley Inc. from 1999 to 2010. She was a member of the Madera County Board of Supervisors from 1996 to 1998, an executive director for Central California Ministries Inc. from 1992 to 1996 and owner at the Confectionery from 1986 to 1991. Manfredi is a member of the Madera District Fair Heritage Foundation. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Manfredi is a Republican.

Harvey “Skip” Petitt, 62, of Chowchilla, has been appointed to the 21a District Agricultural Association, Madera District Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 1992. Petitt has been owner at Innovative Management since 1998. He was owner at Innovative Sales and Marketing from 1987 to 1997. He is a member of the Merced Elks Lodge and the Chowchilla Masonic Lodge. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Petitt is a Republican.

George “Butch” Ricketts, 62, of Madera, has been appointed to the 21a District Agricultural Association, Madera District Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2006. Ricketts has been owner at Pools by Ricketts since 1979. He was store manager at Growers Supply from 1976 to 1979 and co-owner at the Ricketts Employment Agency from 1973 to 1976. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Ricketts is a Republican.

Stephanie Simonian, 60, of Madera, has been appointed to the 21a District Agricultural Association, Madera District Fair Board of Directors. Simonian has been vice president at 47th Place Carpet and Linoleum Inc. since 1984. She is a member of the Oakhurst Community Center, Oakhurst Sierra Rotary Club, Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce and the Madera Sunrise Rotary Club. Sheryl Sisil, 41, of Madera, has been appointed to the 21a District Agricultural Association, Madera District Fair Board of Directors. Sisil has been director of college and career readiness for the Madera Unified School District since 2014. She was vice principal at the Madera Unified School District School of Agriculture, Science and Engineering from 2006 to 2014 and an agriculture instructor for the Madera Unified School District from 2004 to 2006 and for the Firebaugh-Las Deltas Unified School District from 1998 to 2004. Sisil is a member of the Alegria Guild. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Sisil is a Republican.
