Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments:

Linda Christine Onstad-Adkins, 66, of Sacramento, has been appointed executive director at the Health Professions Education Foundation, where she has served as acting executive director since February 2015. Onstad-Adkins has been acting deputy director of the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development's Healthcare Development Division since 2015, where she was chief of research, policy and planning from 2013 to 2014. She was director of programs administration at the Healthcare Professions Education Foundation from 2011 to 2013, where she was a program officer from 2010 to 2011. She was an account manager at Entercom Communications from 2008 to 2010 and at Salem Communications from 2007 to 2008. Onstad-Adkins was director of underwriting at Capital Public Radio from 1996 to 2006. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $110,004. Onstad-Adkins is a Democrat.

Judy Rodriguez, 55, of Stockton, has been appointed to the 2nd District Agricultural Association, San Joaquin County Fair Board of Directors. Rodriguez has been a relationship manager at the BAC Community Bank since 2015, where she was a marketing manager from 2013 to 2015. She was a senior financial sales advisor at BBVA Compass Bank from 2006 to 2013 and a staffing manager at Robert Half International's OfficeTeam from 2000 to 2006 and at Act One from 1998 to 2000. Rodriguez is a member of the San Joaquin Farm Bureau Foundation for Agricultural Education Board of Directors, Tracy Grand Theatre Foundation Board, Tracy City Center Association Board and the Sutter Health Foundation Gala Committee. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Rodriguez is a Republican.
