Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments.
Joshua Eustice, 38, of Chula Vista, has been appointed to the California Commission on Correctional Peace Officer Standards and Training. Eustice has served as a correctional officer at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility since 2006. He was a security manager at Law Enforcement Security Services from 2003 to 2005 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1995 to 2002. He is vice president of the California Correctional Peace Officers Association chapter at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Eustice is a Democrat.
Brenda Gibbons, 53, of Manteca, has been appointed to the California Commission on Correctional Peace Officer Standards and Training. Gibbons has served as a correctional officer at the California Health Care Facility, Stockton since 2013. She served as a correctional officer at Salinas Valley State Prison from 1996 to 2013 and at the California Training Facility, Soledad from 1994 to 1996. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Gibbons is registered without party preference.
Kevin Raymond, 54, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the California Commission on Correctional Peace Officer Standards and Training. Raymond has been supervisory vice president at the California Correctional Peace Officers Association since 2010. He served as a correctional officer at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Office of Facilities Management from 2005 to 2010, achieving the rank of sergeant in 2009. Raymond served as a correctional officer at Folsom State Prison from 2003 to 2005 and from 1990 to 1991, and at the Northern California Women’s Facility from 1991 to 2003. He was an armed response security officer at the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station from 1987 to 1990 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1978 to 1987. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Raymond is a Republican.
