San Francisco, California - Turn the clock back to Christmas in the year 1901 on Saturday, December 13, 2014, as the Hyde Street Living History Players present the annual Old Time Maritime Christmas program from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. During this unique holiday program, visitors can meet and talk with costumed captains, wives and crews aboard the park’s historic vessels at Hyde Street Pier.

Visitors can also join the Hyde Street Living History Players for guided lamplit tours that start at 6:00 pm and leave every 20 minutes from the entrance to Hyde Street Pier, with the final tour beginning at 7:40 pm. On these hour-long tours, explore how those at sea celebrated during the holidays while away from their families and friends. A walk with historical characters through the park’s ships with the bright lights of the city shimmering in the distance is sure to be an experience to remember.

Reservations are required for this free event. For more information and to make reservations, please call the park Visitor Center at 415-447-5000. During the daytime prior to this event, the park is hosting Celebrations at Sea, a free afternoon program that does not require reservations.
