Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments:
Tony Hobson, 51, of Paradise, has been appointed to the Council on Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health. Hobson has been director of behavioral health at the Plumas County Department of Behavioral Health since 2018 and contributing faculty at Walden University since 2006. He was behavioral health director of the Sutter-Yuba Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services Department from 2014 to 2018. Hobson held several positions at the Butte County Department of Behavioral Health from 2010 to 2014 and from 2007 to 2008, including senior program manager, program manager and psychologist. He was a psychologist at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from 2008 to 2010 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1989 to 1993. Hobson earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in clinical psychology from Walden University and a Master of Arts degree in multicultural counseling from San Diego State University. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Hobson is a Republican.
Janet Henson, 42, of Hesperia, has been appointed to the California Private Investigator Disciplinary Review Committee. Henson has been owner and president at Ideal Investigations Inc. since 2011. She was a contracted workers compensation analyst with the U.S. Postal Service, Office of Inspector General from 2012 to 2016, a field supervisor at Enlightened Investigations from 2008 to 2011 and a supervisor and lead investigator at Titan Professional Investigations from 2007 to 2011. She is a member of the California Association of Private Investigations and Private Investigators of California. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Henson is a Republican.
Armando Lopez, 68, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the California Private Investigator Disciplinary Review Committee. Lopez has been a contracted private investigator for the Los Angeles County Superior Court and owner of Enterprise Evaluation Services since 1987. He was a public defender investigator for the County of Ventura in 1999, security director at Miramar Sheraton Hotel from 1987 to 1999 and retired as a police detective from the City of Santa Monica from in 1986. Lopez is a member of the Criminal Courts Bar Association of Los Angeles. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Lopez is registered without party preference.
Mario Campos, 57, of Santa Clarita, has been reappointed to the California Private Security Disciplinary Review Committee, South, where he has served since 2013. Campos has been president of Patriot Security Services Group Inc. since 2017, a security services officer for Tiffany & Co. since 1998 and qualified manager for A-Team Security since 2010. He was president, chief executive officer and qualified manager at Specialized Protective Group from 2000 to 2009, director of security and safety with Mondrian Hotel from 1993 to 1997 and security supervisor for the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel from 1991 to 1995. Campos was director of security and safety at Le Parc Suite Hotel from 1984 to 1991 and assistant director of public security and safety at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel from 1989 to 1991. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Campos is a Republican.
Nancy Silliman, 54, of Lakewood, has been appointed to the California Private Security Disciplinary Review Committee, South. Silliman has been owner and president of Enforcement Trainers Inc. since 1988. She is a member of the National Rifle Association. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Silliman is a Republican.
