Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced that he has signed tribal-state gaming compacts between the State of California and the Hoopa Valley Tribe and the Susanville Indian Rancheria.
The compacts further the parties’ mutual interest in improving the quality of life of tribal members through a framework that generates revenue for tribal governmental programs while also fairly regulating the gaming activities; affording meaningful consumer and employee protections; and mitigating the off-reservation impacts of the gaming facilities.
