Sacramento, California - Wednesday, Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) will join other lawmakers and coalition of statewide outdoor recreation proponents in support of AB 1918, a legislative effort to establish a dedicated California Office of Sustainable Outdoor Recreation.
California’s outdoor recreation economy is a $92 billion industry that generates over 691,000 direct jobs. This legislation will promote economic development in our state’s robust outdoor recreation industry as well as create an advisory committee to provide advice, expertise and support in this important area of our state’s economy.
