Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments:

Alana Golden, 53, of Sacramento, has been appointed assistant director of marketing and communications for the Complete Count Census. Golden has been an information officer III at the California Department of Business Oversight since 2013. She was an information officer III at the California Department of Financial Institutions from 2001 to 2013 and an information officer I at the California Department of Housing and Community Development from 1991 to 2001. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $113,916. Golden is registered without party preference.

Patricia Vazquez, 24, of Sacramento, has been appointed liaison and office manager for the Complete Count Census. Vazquez has been an associate government program analyst at the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development since 2017. She is a member of the Sacramento Latina Leaders Network. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $66,276. Vazquez is not registered to vote.
