Coachella, California - Friday morning, Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia will join Coachella Valley Water District and Pueblo Unido CDC to announce legislation geared to assist Eastern Coachella Valley water infrastructure projects.
AB 2060, Advanced Water Payments, will help alleviate the cash-flow burden for grant-eligible disadvantaged communities toward critical water and wastewater improvements.
In addition to discussing this newly introduced legislation, the event will celebrate the regional partnerships of the Disadvantaged Communities Infrastructure Task Force. The Disadvantaged Communities Infrastructure Task Force consists of residents, non-profit corporations, local institutions, and elected officials working collaboratively to address drinking water, sanitation, and stormwater control needs.
