Los Angeles, California - The FBI and local law enforcement officers in Los Angeles County are seeking information leading to the identity of an unidentified group of bank robbery suspects nicknamed “Two Guys & a Girl Bandits,” based on witness accounts during one of the robberies that suggest that two of the suspects were men and one was a woman.
During the robberies, the suspects are heard counting numerals in reverse order, or “counting down,” while they also ordered everyone in the bank to the ground. Victims were ordered to provide cash from teller drawers. Two recent robberies have been linked to the group, whose members may vary in terms of suspects entering the bank. The two robberies believed to have been committed by individuals associated with this group are listed below:
December 12 2014: Wells Fargo Bank 28350 S. Western Ave. in Rancho Palos Verdes
December 30 2014: CalCom FCU 20723 Hawthorne Blvd. in Torrance
During the robbery in Rancho Palos Verdes on December 12, three armed suspects entered the bank and ordered everyone down to the ground before demanding cash and fleeing in a stolen white sedan. During the robbery in Torrance on December 30, three armed suspects, one of whom was described by a witness as a female, ordered everyone to the ground while demanding cash. One round was fired into the ceiling by one of the suspects. The suspects fled in a stolen blue sedan. Both vehicles were later recovered by police.
The suspects known as the Two Guys & a Girl Bandits were wearing casual clothing that can be seen in bank surveillance photos below. The suspects wore nylon stockings over their faces. One suspect wore a ball cap with an Oakland Raiders logo on it during the Rancho Palos Verdes robbery, and one suspect wore a ball cap with a Chicago Bulls logo on it during the Torrance robbery.
