Washington, DC - Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Heather Higginbottom will travel to California January 8-9 to attend the U.S. Global Development Lab Advisory Group Board Meeting with USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah, and participate in technology outreach meetings at Google and Andreessen Horowitz. The Lab seeks to advance a science and technology-based approach to development, creating a new global marketplace of innovations to help end extreme poverty by 2030.
The Deputy Secretary will discuss innovations in digital security, knowledge management, and open data with U.S. business executives and innovators in the tech community.
