Sacramento, California - The Sacramento Division of the FBI has refreshed an international campaign to locate Julio Cesar Guevara-Mejia, 42, a Honduran national whose alleged crimes include attempted murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution for the related charge. Guevara-Mejia is a 5’6” tall Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes who, at the time of his crime, weighed approximately 160 pounds. He continues to be considered armed and dangerous.

Whiskeytown, California - The National Park Service and California State Parks are gearing up for their annual "Old Time Holiday" celebration on Saturday, December 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Follow in the footsteps of miners who in 1849, after preparing a holiday meal in Shasta, traveled to Whiskeytown to share their food and cheer! The events will take place at Shasta State Historic Park and the Tower House Historic District in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, both located along Highway 299 west of Redding, California.

Yosemite National Park, California - Yosemite National Park and Berchtesgaden National Park in Germany have signed a sister park arrangement. The formal arrangement outlines the commitment from both parks to foster international cooperation in preserving these protected areas. The arrangement was signed by Yosemite National Park Superintendent Don Neubacher and Dr. Michael Vogel, Berchtesgaden National Park Director, in October, 2014.
