Washington, DC - ATM International USA, Inc., a Torrance, California establishment, is recalling approximately 1,999 pounds of boneless beef products that were not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists.

Sacramento, California - After a three-day trial, a federal jury found Brent Douglas Cole, age 61, resident of Nevada County, guilty of assault on a federal officer with a deadly weapon which inflicted bodily injury; assault on a person assisting a federal officer with a deadly weapon which inflicted bodily injury; and discharge of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced. The trial was held before United States District Judge Garland E. Burrell, Jr.

Los Angeles, California - Attorney General Kamala D. Harris today unveiled the Bureau of Children’s Justice within the California Department of Justice that will work to ensure all of California’s children are on track to meet their full potential. In the Bureau’s first action, Attorney General Harris sent a letter to officials in all 58 counties in California, outlining their legal responsibilities with regard to foster youth and urging each county to evaluate their current enforcement and oversight policies and practices.
