Sacramento, California - On Monday evening, a federal jury found Rachel Siders, 39, of Roseville, guilty of bank fraud, making a false loan application, and committing aggravated identity theft, United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced. Siders’ week-long trial was held before United States District Judge John A. Mendez.

Santa Ana, California - Assistant Attorney General for National Security John P. Carlin, Acting U.S. Attorney Stephanie Yonekura of the Central District of California and Assistant Director in Charge David Bowdich of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office announced today that an Orange County, California, man who attempted to travel to Syria last year has been indicted on a series of federal offenses, including attempting to provide material support to a designated terrorist organization the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Sacramento, California - Dana Faulkner, 48, resident of Oakland, was sentenced today by United States District Judge John A. Mendez to one year in prison for conspiring to commit mail fraud and make false statements in loan applications, United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced. In addition, Faulkner was ordered to pay over $3 million in restitution to defrauded financial institutions.
