Universal City, California - Tickets are now on sale in select markets for the American Ninja Warrior Experience, a two-day event and competition for people of all ages and fitness levels inspired by NBC’s Emmy-nominated competition series American Ninja Warrior (ANW).
Created in collaboration with NBC, Universal Brand Development and the ATS Team, the first two events will kick-off in Phoenix, Arizona, on February 10-11 and San Diego, California on March 4-5. The 2018 event will bring together the most iconic obstacles from the show, including the Warped Wall, Quintuple Steps and Salmon Ladder, to give athletes and fans a chance to test their “ninja skills.” Fans of the hit show will also have a chance to watch their favorite ninja athletes run the course in an event for the whole family to enjoy.
Tickets can be purchased for the Phoenix and San Diego events now online. Stay tuned to the website for additional cities with date and venue information.
The American Ninja Warrior Experience will have four major areas of participation, including an Adult City Course, Amateur Course, Youth City Course and a Top Ninjas Competition, as well as spectator passes for fans of all ages to experience various family-friendly activities in the fan festival area.
- The Adult Course will feature 8 obstacles of varying difficulty. Before each of the three stages, some of the show’s best-known ANW athletes will be stationed to guide participants through a series of helpful tips and pointers on how to approach the course.
- The Amateur Course allows you to test your skills on three full-sized obstacles from the show. The top finishers from this course qualify to compete for a spot in the top ninja tournament Saturday night.
- The Youth Course will give kids ages 8-13 the chance to tackle real ANW obstacles similar to those on TV but scaled to their size. The course will consist of two stages and seven obstacles, and much like the Adult Course, veteran Ninjas will be there to help coach them through the course. Kids can also enjoy the multiple activations to play on in the fan festival area, including an inflatable ANW course and a smaller obstacle playground.
- The Top Ninja Competition will give fans the opportunity to watch their favorite ninja athletes compete in a head-to-head competition on a full-scale ANW course. This competition will feature more than 90 of the top ninjas from around the world.
Additionally, these favorite ninja athletes will be available for photos with fans, to teach fitness workshops and offer advice on how to conquer the course in the fan festival area. The two-day event will also include music, food, games and many more activities for the whole family.
“Our goal is to grow and support the American Ninja Warrior athletic and fan community by bringing this fun and challenging obstacle competition to cities around the country,” said Joe Lazzaretti, Chief Operating Officer of ATS Sports International. “We want people of all ages to experience the thrill of competing on official obstacles, as well as give them a chance to cheer on their favorite athletes live and bring this entertaining sport to local communities.”
