As she said, we’ve known each other many years. We’ve fought a lot of battles together against common opponents. She’s somebody who I think has been a model representative in Congress, and we’re going to miss her in the halls of the House of Representatives, but we’re not going to miss her in Washington because I know she’s not going to leave these issues she cares about so much alone—I just know she’ll be up there constantly. But, what a wonderful representation of the American Dream she has been.

Washington, DC - New data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) shows that nonfarm payroll employment rose by 250,000 jobs in October, far exceeding expectations by 50,000 jobs. The United States economy continues its longest, consecutive streak of positive monthly job numbers, with employment growth averaging 213,000 jobs per month in 2018—larger than the monthly gains in both 2016 (195,000) and 2017 (182,000). Overall, the economy has added 4.5 million jobs since the election of President Trump in November 2016.
