Washington, DC - The Department of State has designated the Egyptian Ajnad Misr group, and Ibrahim al-Rubaysh, an al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) senior leader, as Specially Designated Global Terrorists under Executive Order (E.O.) 13224, which targets terrorists and those providing support to terrorists or acts of terrorism.

Brussels, Belgium - The EU and the US met on 12 December 2014 in Brussels for a High level Dialogue on Non-Proliferation, Disarmament and Arms Control. The US Delegation was led by Assistant Secretary of State for International Security and Nonproliferation Tom Countryman and by Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance Anita Friedt. On the EU side, the meeting was chaired by EEAS Principal Adviser and Special Envoy for Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Jacek Bylica, and it included senior officials from 28 EU Member States.
