Sacramento, California - Loraine Dixon, 61, of Granite Bay, pleaded guilty Thursday to a conspiracy to commit bid rigging, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced.

Sacramento, California - A federal grand jury returned a 12-count indictment Thursday against Johnathon Ward, 40, formerly of Tracy; Monica Nunes, 39, formerly of Rancho Cordova; and Talalima Toilolo, 44, of Salt Lake City, Utah, charging them with conspiracy to commit bank fraud and bank fraud, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced. The indictment also charges Ward and Nunes with aggravated identity theft.

Los Angeles, California - Director Christopher Wray has named Robert C. Bone, II as the special agent in charge of the Counterintelligence and Cyber Division of the Los Angeles Field Office. Mr. Bone previously served as the deputy assistant director of the Operational Technology Division at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Sacramento, California - Wesley Ian Groves, 35, of Fairfield, was sentenced Monday by U.S. District Judge Kimberly J. Mueller, to four years in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced.

Redlands, California - Beaver Medical Group L.P. (Beaver) and one of its physicians, Dr. Sherif Khalil, have agreed to pay a total of $5,039,180 to resolve allegations that they reported invalid diagnoses to Medicare Advantage plans and thereby caused those plans to receive inflated payments from Medicare, the Justice Department announced. Beaver is headquartered in Redlands, California.
